The Class Pets of Our School

Submitted by joann.kirk on

I was walking down the awesome halls of Park View Elementary and it hit me like a slap in the face! I wondered how many teachers have class pets. Read on to find out!

I tried to find Mr. Gowens. He was not thereL. Then next was Mrs. Allred she was in her classroom. This is what I learned! Her pet is a lizard named Spot. We’re not sure on Spot’s age. Spot eats crickets. Have any crickets handy? Who feeds Spot you ask?  Mrs. Allred does. The students clean the cage! Last but not least, the lizard, Spot, walks around and sits on desks!

100 Days Smarter!

Submitted by joann.kirk on

On the day of January 30th the 2nd graders had 100’s day.  Can you believe we have been in school 100 days already?  They celebrated by dressing up like people who were 100 years old.  We interviewed a couple of 2nd graders to see how they felt about being in school for 100 days.

Opera Visits Park View

Submitted by joann.kirk on

On January 28, 2015 our school was privileged to see an amazing Opera Assembly presented by the Utah Opera School Program. Our school was chosen out of many Utah Schools to see these talented performers. Their names were, Lindsay, the pianist, Jessica, a soprano, Will, a base, and Tyson, a tenor.  They had very powerful voices. They taught us opera definitions such as soprano, duets, and trios and all sorts of things about opera.
