The holiday season is always so much fun. We love watching the students get excited for the festivities to come. Our favorite part is Sing Around the Christmas Tree. The teachers usually do their own rendition of a carol but this year we decided to get our groove on! Happy Holidays from Park View Faculty!
Have you heard? We want to get books into our students hands! Beginning this week, every Friday, a library cart full of books will be placed out in front of the office. Kids and parents alike are welcome to come peek at what books we have to offer and take whatever looks interesting. There are some really great books on the cart, so definitely don't pass it up!
It's that time of year again, the darling kindergarten students get to show off for their parents at Mrs. Toelupe's annual Luau! Parents and students are always so excited for this fun party. The students get to perform traditional Hawaiian dances and songs. After which they serve their parents a delicious lunch. It truly is a treat for everyone!
The Crystal Apple Award is given to educators who show exemplary performance in their day to day activities. What is especially special about this award is that it is peer nominated. We are so excited to present this years recipient, Mrs. Bird! Mrs. Bird was formally a fifth grade teacher at our school. During those years she always went above and beyond with her students and her lesson planning. From fifth grade, she transferred to a different position within our school, and is now known as an ESSR teacher. Her specialty is teaching kids to read.
Earlier this week Park View students were delighted to hear Christmas stories read by our wonderful parent volunteers. Not only did the students enjoy the fun books being read, but were also treated to donut holes and drinks! This fun little activity sure did bring excitement throughout the school. Thank you to our Park View Parents, especially Alisha Rodriguez for organizing this festive event for our little hive!
