Submitted by samantha.jasperson on Mon, 09/18/2023 - 23:12

Last week in Mrs. Marsh's science block, the students were challenged to make a tower that was 12 inches tall using 20 index cards and 16 paper clips.  Then they were challenged to make a tower at least 6 inches tall that would hold a hardcover book.  They are learning all about shapes, materials, and design. Students had to demonstrate the learning qualities of connecting persisting, and collaborating!

Guest Storytellers in Library

Submitted by samantha.jasperson on Tue, 09/12/2023 - 22:00

Mrs. Niepraschk had two guest storytellers in the library on Tuesday, September 5.  Lori Snyder and Vaunda Micheaux Nelson came to the library and performed stories and poems for the first-third grade classes.  Mrs. Snyder and Mrs. Nelson are former colleagues of Mrs. Niepraschk's and were acclaimed storytellers in New Mexico for many years.  Mrs. Nelson is also an accomplished children's author! Thank you to them for visiting our school and bringing your talents with them to share.
