Butterflies Fly Free

Submitted by samantha.jasperson on

First grade was able to witness the life cycle of butterflies first hand! This is a perfect example of hands on learning. The kids not only learned about the butterflies life cycle, but they also had the opportunity to witness it up close within the classroom! After waiting patiently for the rainstorms to pass they were able to release the butterflies. It was difficult for the first graders, they wanted to keep them as pets, but ultimately they were able to see the little ladies fly free.

3rd Grade Biome Night

Submitted by samantha.jasperson on

The third grade students worked day in and day out researching, creating, and discovering things about the six major biomes of the earth. To celebrate they showed off their hard work to their families at their parent biome night. Parents were able to read their research, listen and watch a persuasive video on why their biome is the best and finally get a miniature view into what the different biomes look like. The parents were impressed and the students were proud. We think that makes for a pretty successful night!

Last week we got to celebrate our Queen Bee on principals day! Mrs. Walker is a serious rock star in the halls, the students here at Park View absolutely love her. She does so much for our school and we can’t thank her enough. We sure are lucky to have her be the queen of this busy hive!

Have you see Sam shoveling snow during the cold, snow mornings? Do you see Sam putting out and picking up the big yellow cones before and after school? Maybe you have spotted Sam in the halls changing light bulbs, cleaning the walls or fixing something for a teacher. Has Sam ever made you or your child smile? We are so incredibly lucky to have Sam Bellows work at Park View as head sweeper. On April 22, 2019 Sam was awarded classified employee of the year!
