Spotlight on Mrs. Kent

Submitted by joann.kirk on

Who is the first person you see when you enter Park View?  If you said Mrs. Kent, you are absolutely correct.  How well do you know our dear Mrs. Kent?   Did you know that her favorite color depends on the day?  She loves dogs and animals, and loves going to new and exotic locations!  Her favorite treat is chocolate.  Remember to thank Mrs. Kent for all the work she does to make Park View a wonderful place.

All Pro Dads

Submitted by joann.kirk on

March 10th was our monthly all pro dads. We do it once a month, every month. You should come with your dad. It is highly recommended for anyone and their dads. This month, Mr. Gowans came in and showed us core science ideas. It was about energy and matter. We played with these things called air cannons; they’re super fun. As usual, we had donuts. They bring different flavors like chocolate and glaze. You should come to this exciting activity.

Internet Safety Assembly

Submitted by joann.kirk on

We had an awesome assembly! It was all about internet safety. The little kids watched a fun video about how to be safe using the internet.  Our special guest speaker was Josa Westover.  He told us about the bad kinds of things that people on the internet can do, and how these people can use information found on the internet against kids.  He taught us about a robot named Clicky.  We saw a video about Clicky; he caught the bad guys and put them in jail.  He told us to be careful and to tell our parents about anything bad we may see on the internet.

Thank You, Mrs. Tuttle, our Keyboarding Teacher

Submitted by joann.kirk on

Mrs. Tuttle is leaving for the year.  She has been coming every day to teach the 4th grade students how to use the keyboard.  She was super sad to leave.  She thought that her students were so awesome.  It was fun for her to see the kid's eyes light up when they finally learned how to keyboard the right way.  She is proud to be able to teach them.  She has had the best time teaching at Park View!

Thanks to Jed and Kallie Haveron, our school now has a scooter rack so students don't haved to bring their scooters inside their classroom to keep them safe. They have a child that goes to our school, Jaxton who is in Mrs. Palacios 2nd grade class. They built it just for us.  So, now we have a scooter rack!  Park View students want to thank you for your gift
