Valentine's Day Activities Encourage Friendship

Submitted by joann.kirk on

Friendship and sharing was witnessed at Park View on Valentine's Day.  Students created Valentine Boxes to receive cards and made Valentines to share with their friends.  It was a day to remember.  Here are some of the activities that occured during the day:  Mrs. Thomas’s kindergarten class exchanged candy.   They had the joy of decorating cookies and cupcakes.   They learned about friendship by practicing how to be kind.  They also learned about Charlotte's and Wilber's  friendship from the book Charlotte's Web and how boys and girls can be friends.

Mrs. Marsh’s class made Valentine's day Jello Monsters. They also had a party, played Don’t Eat Cupid, and made valentine graphs.

The fourth grade played Minute To Win It Games and made fuzzy pencil monsters. They passed out their Valentine's and admired each other's boxes.

A special thank you to all the parents who helped make this day a memorable one.  Enjoy pictures of other activities around the school.
