Student Council Serves as Principal's Second Eyes

The Student Council deserves a big ‘thank you’ for serving the students of Park View with honor. They have participated in recycling used paper, teaching anti-bullying skills, making morning announcements, performing at assemblies, and assisting Mrs. Reynolds in a myriad of other ways. Mariah had a great time serving in the student council. She said, “It gave me a chance to learn how to be a leader,” Megan Hall added, “I learned about leadership and how to keep our school safe.” Ciarra Marshall said she enjoyed being the second eyes of Mrs. Reynolds. She felt she had power to help control the bullying that goes on in the school.  Mrs. Reynolds especially appreciates all who served on her council this year, "It is a thrill for me to run student council! I feel connected with students which helps keep my teaching skills sharp, an important aspect to being an effective principal. It's my goal to help as many children possible feel as though they have a contribution and can be a leader. I feel committed to creating student leaders who will be prepared to meet the challenges of the upcoming years."

The students who served on the Executive Council were Briton Wilson, Megan Hall, Abbie Jensen and Aubrey Schmidt. The rest of the council included Brooklyn Snow, Summer Vaughn, Jordin Gonzalez, Katelyn Johnson, Sara Wiberg, Mollie Brown, Cassidy Radmall, Tyler, McKay Young, Racheal Campbell, Mariah Webber and Ciarra Marshall.
