In our Anatomy and Physiology class, students had the unique opportunity to perform a lung pluck dissection, an engaging hands-on lab that brought the respiratory and circulatory systems to life.
This dissection included the lungs, heart, diaphragm, and liver, allowing students to explore how these vital organs interact. Using a shop vac, students observed the lungs expanding and contracting, providing a clear visual of how air moves through the respiratory system.
They also examined the heart’s chambers and vessels, gaining insight into circulation, and explored the diaphragm’s role in breathing. This immersive experience gave students a deeper understanding of human anatomy and sparked excitement for future medical and health science careers.
If you enjoy hands-on learning and real-world applications of science, this class is for you!
