Park View Elementary celebrated National Walk/Roll to School Day in the biggest way! Prior to the event, students were taught about the benefits of walking or rolling to school. They learned: Vitamin D is good for you, it's an act of self-love, it helps you connect with nature, it feels good to move your body and it is a fun way to stay physically healthy. They were also taught different tips for staying safe when walking/rolling to school, such as using safe school routes, staying alert, making yourself visible to drivers, looking left and right before crossing the street and when possible using the crosswalk.

To celebrate walking to school, the Park View Parents, lead by Abby Haslem, put together quite the party for students as they arrived to school. Willy from UVU  @uvuwolverine, Cosmo from BYU @cosmo_cougar and Leo the Lion from Payson High came to pump up the students on their way into school! Payson City Mayor, Bill Wright handed out donated fruit from Payson City's Smiths and Riley's You Pick @rileystasteofsunshine @rileysgenola. It was awesome to see the city come together and donate items to help encourage a safe, healthy lifestyle for our Park View Bees!

A special thank you goes out to our Park View Parents. We are so lucky to have such wonderful parents helping our students make memories here at school.
