Third Grade Simple Machine Fair

Submitted by joann.kirk on

The third grade students at Park View have been learning about simple machines.  As a celebration of what they learned, each student made their own simple machine to display at the Simple Machine Fair for parents and students to observe.  The student's creativity and ability to apply what they learned was very impressive.  The machines were all different shapes and sizes, but they all were able to scientifically do work using one or a combination of the six simple machines.  Some projects were useful, while others were just made for fun; they ranged from catapults, to dog feeders, to home made mouse traps, to Oreo cookie dunking.   Congratulations to our students for a job well done.
