Singing Around the Christmas Tree

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” The fifth grade students sang these words with all their hearts and the audience believed them. During the Park View Singing around the Tree Assembly, held December 17th, 20th and 21st, each age group selects their favorite Christmas songs to perform for the students and their parents. It is such a popular assembly, it is presented during three days.  On Friday, December 17th the Kindergarten class made us smile with their rendition of "Jingle Bells" and "It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas." The fifth grade classes performed "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer." The third grade classes shared their Christmas spirit by acting out the song, "I'm the angel in the Christmas Play."  On Monday, December 20th, the first grade class shared their wish for their two front teeth in song and shared their version of "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer."  The fourth grade classes sang "Sleigh Ride" and showed their nefarious side by singing, "I'm Gettin' Nothin' for Christmas."  There will be more to come on Tuesday with the sixth grade students singing a mixed up version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”  Park View students wish the community a Merry Christmas.
