Just dance! On March 16th The Reparatory Dance Company came to Park View. The company consists of Ursula Perry, Justin Bass, Efrin Corado, Dan Higgins, Jauren Curley, Tyler Orrcut, and Jacalyn Brown. They are all pro dancers. They travel all over the U.S.A. entertaining children and teaching them the value of dance. The dancers are athletes. They stay in shape my warming up before dancing, eating healthy foods, and exercising every day! They taught us how to talk without words, just with dancing; even a ball bouncing can communicate! Dancing keeps us fit and helps us see the world in a different way. They had the audiance participate with clapping in unison and with following patterns. They froze in interesting patterns. They taught us that we only get one body, so we need to take care of it.
Ursala showed us a dance with moves like she was glad to be alive! Dan danced in ancient greek style! Jackie danced a dance of celebration and socialization. Effra did an ethnic dance that told a story of the past. Laura danced a ballet of the royal courts. Justin made up his own modern dance. Tyler was full of surprises with a break dance and hip hop. They invited all of us to make our ordinary moves into an extraordinary dance.
