Lois Lundgren was chosen as Park View’s Teacher of the Year by her peers. Lois is a master teacher, teaching for thirteen years, one year in Germany, one year in Arizona, 6 years at Spanish Fork Middle, and five years at Park View, where she currently teaches 6th grade. She takes her responsibility seriously as she prepares her students academically, socially and mentally for the rigors of middle school. She has wanted to be a teacher since third grade when her teacher told her she’d be a good teacher. She agreed. Lois is a devoted teacher and loves the variety of each day. She loves the challenge of developing new, creative ways to teach the curriculum to each new group of students. Manuel Escobar, one of her students, explains what makes Mrs. Lundgren an excellent teacher, “If we don’t understand something, she offers to stay after school to help us.” Jake Ford added, “She makes sure we understand the concept before she moves on.” Other students describe her as organized, helpful and aware of what is happening around the school. She is a leader and is admired for all of her abilities.

Lois lives in Spanish Fork with her husband Dean, her daughter Kayla, who is 22 and about to graduate from BYU, and son, Deven who is 16 and a sophomore at Maple Mountain High School.
