The halls of Park View Elementary were full of excitement during the Christmas Books and Candy Canes Festivity held on Dec. 16th. Parents, Grandparents, teachers and siblings gathered to share favorite Christmas stories and enjoy a candy cane. Among the favorite stories were Frosty’s New Friends, Christmas in the Trenches, and I’ve Seen Santa. Susan Hereth, a teacher at Park View commented, “I had a great time reading to the students in Mrs. Thomas’s class. They enjoyed reading the story, The Easter Bunny Saves Christmas. Jaiden Taylor agreed, “It’s fun to read with my mom and little sister.” Ashton Frost exclaimed, "This is the happiest day!" One parent, Amy Eddington was excited to join in the fun, “I don’t always get to attend; I love it.” Mr. Ferin, another parent who joined in the fun, stated, “Any opportunity to read to our children and show how important reading is, is a good thing.” Thanks to all the parents who came to share a wonderful Christmas tradition with the students at Park View.
