A Week of Celebrating Teachers

Submitted by shanna.stirland on

Our Park View Parent Club organized a wonderful week of activities and gifts to show appreciation to our teachers. Students wore their teachers' favorite colors, brought them treats, wrote them kind notes and brought them school supplies. Thank you to our PVP Club for providing an awesome lunch - the Taco Food Truck, where everyone could choose their favorite thing to eat. Parents made posters and the school was decorated. Everywhere you went, outside and inside the school, there were signs of appreciation.

Out of This World Trip for 4th Grade

Submitted by samantha.jasperson on

Our fourth graders just wrapped up their space unit in science and ended with a field trip to the Clark Planetarium! They had fun watching the shows about Utah's night sky and interacting with all the fun exhibits. It was a field trip to remember and the perfect way to experience some hands-on learning.

Mountain Man Rendezvous

Submitted by samantha.jasperson on

The fourth graders have been learning about Utah history this school year. After learning about the mountain men, the students got to try out their skills at a Mountain Man Rendezvous. Students had to make use of their strength, craftiness, and bartering skills as they participated. It was a great day!

Ballet West Visits Park View

Submitted by samantha.jasperson on

Friday afternoon we had quite the treat from Ballet West! The company came and taught students about different dance moves and the strength it takes to perform them.  They also talked about how students everyday moves: walking, jumping and running resemble the dance moves they use in their performances. When the teaching was all said and done Ballet West performed a portion of Sleeping Beauty. Thank you Ballet West for coming and introducing our students to a new art form!
