Our student leaders will be selling Otter Pops for .25 cents on warm days through the month of May at lunch recess and afterschool. The money goes to fund our Park View Alumni Scholarship. Each year the student leaders participate in reading scholarships applications, and selecting a recipient. This year’s scholarship was awarded to Alyssa Gowans. This is a super cool project for our students to participate in. Get your Otterpops while you still can!

Arbor Day with Payson City!

Last week the third grade students had a very special opportunity to participate in an arbor day activity! They were invited on a mini field trip to the park across the street to plant a couple of trees in honor of arbor day. Mayor Bill Wright was in attendance and told them that the trees being planted are planted in the name of veteran. The trees were donated by the one and only Olson’s Garden Shoppe! In addition to planting the trees at the park, two lucky students went home with a tree to plant in their yard.

Park View Student Leaders presented a $500 scholarship to Alyssa Gowans from PHS. Student leaders earn money each year by selling Otter Pops to put into a scholarship fund. They received several applications for this scholarship. With the names of the applicants removed, all of our student leaders read and voted on who they felt was the best candidate to receive this scholarship.
