Grandparents Day!

Bagels, bananas, oranges, Sunny D and chocolate milk were plated with care early this morning in preparation for our annual grandparents day! We love grandparents at Park View and we saw that Park View students love their grandparents too. Students had the opportunity to have some one on one time with their grandparents  and spoil them with a yummy breakfast. After breakfast the grandparents had the chance to return the favor and spoil their grandkids with books from the book fair! Smiles were had, tummies were filled and memories were made. We love Grandparents!

Mt Nebo Middle School Administrators are coming next week to sign up your 5th graders for classes at the middle school. Is your fifth grade child wanting to join orchestra next year? If so, you will want them to know a little more about the different instruments and possibly which they'd be interested in playing. Below you will find various resources Mr. Nebo Middle School has provided to help you make the decision. Mrs Jane Ledesma is the orchestra teacher and truly one of the best around! We can't wait to see our bees in the middle school orchestra!

The Park View arts festival is quickly approaching! This is an awesome opportunity for students to explore different art mediums and concepts. The theme this year is "I can be SUCCESSFUL" So what does that look like for you? You can  paint about it, take a picture, write about, cross stitch, or hey even try your hand at calligraphy! So get involved and have fun with it, who knows, your art piece may just be displayed in the hall for all to see for and entire year!

We want to give a big shout out to the student leaders from Mr. Broadbent's class that served our school for the first half of the year.  They did such a great job!  Here are some of the things they loved about being student leaders:

Alejandra said that she loved playing with kids and helping out.

Ruby said that one thing she loved was getting to work with so many friends and getting to work with kids.

Kelsie said she loved being with all the kids at recess duty and being able to make so many new friends.

Kindess Counts!

4th and 3rd grade was excited to celebrate kindness today with a pizza party! They worked hard memorizing all of the kindness qualities that we will continue to work on throughout the year. Remember our kindness qualities are: include, compromise, empathize, compassionate, patient and courteous! We love kind kids!
