Can you name all the counties in Utah?  The 4th graders at Park View can.  They have spent months preparing for the Utah County Fair held on March 6, 2012.  They researched their chosen county, found interesting facts, wrote reports and created posters.  They also practiced songs about Utah that they presented to the students and their parents.  The participants lined the halls to present the information they found; everyone was able to take a virtual road trip through all the counties of Utah.  This activity was held under the direction of Mrs. Ewell, Mr. Gowans, Mrs.

The Student of the Month Assembly for March began with the Fifth Grade sharing their ideas of what Cooperation means to them. “Cooperation is working together as part of a team.” Taking turns and helping others is all part of cooperation. To demonstrate what cooperation means, they made a human knot and tried to untangle themselves. It took everyone working together to straighten themselves.

The Sixth Grade Annual Science Fair was held at Park View Elementary on February 3, 2012. The students used the scientific method to generate questions, form a hypothesis, experiment, and construct a theory. Outstanding projects were presented and explained as parents and student body viewed their projects. Scientist professors and students from UVU were invited to judge the student's entries. All of the students worked very hard and completed some amazing experiments.
