The 2012 school year is coming to a close, however, Park View wanted to take one more opportunity to honor outstanding students of the month of May.  The student body was treated with a presentation by the afternoon Kindergarten classes.  They taught the importance of responsibility.  They sang a song about all the things they have learned in Kindergarten to prepare them for first grade, for example, doing their homework, working hard in school, and doing their best.  They know their ABCs and 123s.  If they can make it in Kindergarten, they can make it anywhere.

Lois Lundgren was chosen as Park View’s Teacher of the Year by her peers. Lois is a master teacher, teaching for thirteen years, one year in Germany, one year in Arizona, 6 years at Spanish Fork Middle, and five years at Park View, where she currently teaches 6th grade. She takes her responsibility seriously as she prepares her students academically, socially and mentally for the rigors of middle school. She has wanted to be a teacher since third grade when her teacher told her she’d be a good teacher. She agreed. Lois is a devoted teacher and loves the variety of each day.

If you were asked, “Which wolf are you feeding?” what would you say?  The sixth grade students at Park View would answer, “There is a good wolf and a bad wolf in each and every one of us, but we choose which one we feed, or which one we fuel. If we are feeding the good wolf, by doing good and making wise choices, then we will be good people, but the opposite is true if we are feeding the bad wolf.”
