Park View is proud to introduce Shanna Stirland as the new principal for the 2014-15 school year.

Stirland grew up feeding calves, hauling hay and riding horses on a farm in Woods Cross, Utah.  She has lived in the Spanish Fork area for more than twenty years.  She and her husband have four children, and she isexpecting her first grandchild this September.

Stirland and her husband have been involved in the Arabian horse industry for many years— raising, riding, breeding and selling horses.  At one time they even owned a zebra, her name was Zoey.  She enjoys biking, swimming and running. She competed in her first triathlon just a couple of years ago and loved it.  Her favorite past times are reading and watching BYU football but says "the greatest joy I get in life is spending time with my family."

"I am passionate about the education of children, and I love helping all students to become successful," says Stirland.  "I know there is no greater call than to educate children.   I am thrilled with the opportunity to become a part of Park View Elementary as the new principal."
