Our district earned the Energy Star Certification! Air quality, lighting quality, and the overall Energy Use Index readings and calculations of each school were taken into account. This data, along with many other data points, were used to compare our schools to other schools around the country. Our district average score was 99, with many schools scoring a perfect 100.

Third grade students were shocked when Clint, from Clint’s Reptiles pulled out his snake Buttercup! The reptile show introduced the third grades ecosystems unit. They learned all about different reptiles and the ecosystems they come from. They were taught that snakes and most reptiles are more afraid of you then you are of them!

SafeUT Awareness Days February 22 & 23

Submitted by samantha.jasperson on

In light of the recent events in Florida and other tragedies that have happened around the country, Nebo School District is teaming up with KSL on February 22, 2018, as we Stand Up for a Safe Utah. Utah has a very powerful resource and that is the SafeUT app.  As you all know, the SafeUT app provides real-time crisis intervention and has been proven to save lives and stopped planned school attacks.

Our goal is to make sure that every parent, student and educator is aware of the app and has it downloaded on their phone.

Author Visit

Submitted by carrie.vannosdol on

Park View sixth graders received a visit from Lance Conrad, the author of The Price of Creation series and The Weight of Swords. He entertained students with his personal experiences and discussed writing in a way that captivated students.  After the visit, students were not only excited to read his books but to start writing their own stories as well. Thank you, Mr. Conrad, for taking the time to inspire our students!
