I was walking down the awesome halls of Park View Elementary and it hit me like a slap in the face! I wondered how many teachers have class pets. Read on to find out!

I tried to find Mr. Gowens. He was not thereL. Then next was Mrs. Allred she was in her classroom. This is what I learned! Her pet is a lizard named Spot. We’re not sure on Spot’s age. Spot eats crickets. Have any crickets handy? Who feeds Spot you ask?  Mrs. Allred does. The students clean the cage! Last but not least, the lizard, Spot, walks around and sits on desks!

Are you jealous yet? Good, here’s some more ha ha ha! The next day I interviewed Ms. Prina. Here is what I learned.

Ms. Prina’s class pet is a lizard named Trixie and she is a girl lizard. She is three years old and likes to eat bugs, fruits and vegetables. The kids in Ms. Prina’s class feed Trixie and clean the cage.  Trixie never gets to play, so sad!

Now are you jealous? I hope so, but here’s some more!

Last but not least is Mr. Gowens class. They have a snake that eats mice. Mr. Gowens feeds the snake and cleans the cage. At the beginning of the school year, Mr. Gowen's new class gets to name the snake. So every year the snake gets a new name. At the end of the year, they take the snake outside on the grass to play.

Having a class pet would be fun. You should talk your teacher into getting one for your classroom.
