The Fun Run Has Begun

Attributions:
Kindergarten students ran laps to earn prizes.
Each student wore a tag...
that was marked for each lap by PTA members.
Students also wore smiles. Being healthy is a good choice.
It was hard work, but students kept going.
Parents, thanks for your pledges.
Radical Random Racer was on hand to cheer on the runners.

The first leg of Park View's annual Fun Run was held on September 30.  PTA members were on hand to count each student's laps and hand out prizes.  The students had an opportunity to help the school raise necessary funds, as well as enjoy exercising.

First Annual Fun Run Introduced

Attributions:

The PTA announced The First Annual Fun Run as the fund raiser opportunity of the year.  Each student will ask for donations from family, friends, and neighbors for each lap successful run.  Each student was given a pledge sheet to complete and return to their teacher.  The Fun Run will be held Sept. 30th for AM Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, and Oct. 2nd for PM Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 6th graders.  Prizes will be awarded for each lap run.  After this event, students will visit with their sponsors to collect donations.  Donations will be due between Oct. 6th - 10th.   For those with the most donations, a special lunch with Mrs. Stirland will be catered.  Let's get excited about this opportunity to help the school and exercise for a healthy lifestyle.  There is more information from your child's teacher.  Thanks for your support.

Ice Bucket Challenge Makes It's Way to Park View

A few of the teachers at Park View were challenged to the popular "Ice Bucket Challenge" to assist in awareness of ALS.  Enjoy the chilling pictures of those who took the challenge.

Boot Camp Training

Fearless leaders,
The newly formed Bees Police remind students to follow the rules in he hall.
About face!

Park View students were treated with Boot Camp Training on August 25th.  Fearless leaders, Mrs. Stirland, Mrs. Ore, Mrs. McClellen, Mrs. Ellsworth, and Mrs. Kober (not pictured) trained all students on the rules and policies of the school.  Boot Camp included salutes, about faces, and shouts of "yes sir!" as the students were reminded of the rules in military form.  For every student to feel safe at Park View, all students should follow the rules on the playground, in the cafateria, in the restrooms and in the halls.  There is no room for bullying physically or emotionally.  Mrs. Stirland, the teachers and all staff members want to see everyone follow the school rules so all students may enjoy coming to Park View, feel safe, and have the opportunity to learn.  It takes everyone working together to make our school the best.  Go Park View Bees!
