April Student of the Month Assembly began with videos of each of the classes singing songs that will prepare them for the CRTs that begin April 15. Mrs. Reynolds reminded the students of some test taking strategies that will help them be successful. Students were reminded to get a good night’s rest, eat a good breakfast and be to school on time. “We will, we will rock you,” sang the first graders. The fourth graders are proficient and they know it. The fifth graders are going to show the CRTs who’s boss. And the sixth graders are not stressing out.

Look at all the smarties who were picked for students of the month. They have worked hard all month and are going to pass these “Miggedy, miggidy, test tests!” Congratulations for a job well done.

It is time once again for CRT Testing for all students of Park View.  Testing will begin Monday, April 22 and continue to May 17.  Here is some advice for parents to help their children do their best on the test:

Provide a healthy breakfast.  Possibilities are fruits, smoothies, healthy cereal, and toast with healthy toppings.

Have your child get a good night’s rest.  Go to bed early and get up on time for school.

Make sure they are to school on time and attending every day.  Most teachers are reviewing concepts they taught at the beginning of the year.  A review of these concepts will refresh their memories.

Ms. Kirk added, “Give your child words of encouragement.  Let them know you believe in them and know they will do their best.”
