When school lets out, millions of low-income children lose access to school breakfast and lunch meals that are available during the regular school year. The Utah Food Bank's Summer Nutrition Program fills this gap by providing free meals and snacks to children 18 and under who might have limited access to nutritious food in the summer. Kids do not need to register or fill out an application to participate-they just need to show up!
The third graders have been working hard researching biomes to present to their parents. Students had to write mini essays explaining different parts of their biome, they did several art projects that came together to be their biome and finally, they made videos presenting their opinion on why their parents should travel to their biome. The biome night turned out awesome! Thank you to all the parents that came to support!
